It’s all about balance!

One thing I do and I would advise everyone to do the same, is to rub the soles of your feet daily for a few minutes. This will help improve sensation and circulation.

As we get older the sensation in the soles of our feet reduces which can affect our balance and cause a fall.

Research on the soles of NASA astronauts’ feet is giving important information on sensation, both in space and back on earth as to a link between balance control and ageing.

From my own research, rubbing the soles of the feet firmly for 3-5 minutes daily appears to be increasing the sensation. This could obviously help avoid falls and their sometimes devastating consequences.
